Implementation of Visitor Express at Royal Bank of Scotland

The Gogarburn site of the Royal Bank of Scotland is the headquarters of the financial organisation with seven on-site parking facilities, 10,000 employee vehicles and up to 3,000 visitors per month. Visitor Express engineers installed 14 MAV ANPR cameras, 11 barrier controls and a mobile network integrating the Visitor.Express application.

RBS have chosen Visitor Express Enterprise to manage all front of house interactions for their flagship Gogarburn office. This externally integrates MAV smart cameras with parking barrier controls. Internally Visitor Express provides real time tablet displays to street ambassadors who perform the reception staff duties in a visitor enhancing nomadic manner. It also integrates with and enables environmentally friendly lanyard printing (Evolis) with reusable cards. This ensures visitors are welcomed immediately with their lanyard ready and host informed of their arrival prior to them reaching the reception areas. Within the reception area smart street ambassadors are able to direct and liaise personally with each visitor on an as needed basis, meaning they can focus on the important tasks with all the mundane lanyard printing and checking in automated by Visitor Express.

Visitor Express Enterprise has been a major success story for RBS and G4S. It has enabled a reception area to become a modern vibrant workspace with a sophisticated feel. You can get a flavour of this environment by watching the video below shot on location at Gogarburn - or arrange a site visit by emailing James Blackwell at james@visitor.express.
